To stop or not to stop

If you were to drive north on Irene Road to the intersection of Wallace Road in Rutland, you would never know there is a stop sign at the intersection.

This was pointed out to me a month ago, before the snow even hit. There is a Telus box and a tree, which both effectively block the stop sign from view. I have pointed it out to others on my nightly walks and they never even knew there was a stop sign there.

With the snow, it only adds to the impossibility of noticing a stop sign at all. If there were to be an accident and cars do fly through on Wallace, I wonder who would be at fault? Below is a picture taken from the right side of the road going north where you would be driving and need to see the stop sign.
