What an absolute waste of time and money. Asking the citizens of Kelowna how they want the city to develop is pointless. Just like the OCP, that too was developed over time with input from all stakeholders.
It is obvious our current council headed by former realtor Bazran, believe it is just a suggestion. One that is mostly ignored anytime a developer with deep pockets comes along with a proposal. Smaller setbacks, less parking, add several more stories even tax holidays no problem.
We want more park space, council and friends want a new tourist centre in the park at our expense.
Our only hope is that a number of trustworthy citizens that actually believe in democracy, step up for the next civic election.
