It's a sad day in a democracy when special interest groups fight to kill a free vote in our government. Previous governments have done this to the detriment of our country repeatedly by telling YOUR elected representative how he/she must vote on any bill before the house.
That type of dictatorial leadership is exactly what has caused Canada to become what it is today. Surely having an elected person allowed to vote in accordance with the majority of those who elected him or her would be more desirable.
Please don't ever believe that a dictatorship is better than a democracy.
