Letter: Forget Study

Mr. Hogue needs to take a look at the community services and reevaluate his thought process. He states that Kelowna hands out money carte blanche for ice surfaces. Well if memory serves correct we only had the Memorial arena until Rutland had their ice rinks built in the last ten years. If he thinks that no Kelowna player will make the NHL he surely is unaware of the players now playing and drafted by the NHL. To conclude, what impact does he think the Memorial Cup that is being played here in May will bring financially to this community. In closing, I agree we need improved aquatic facilities but do not make comments regarding hockey venues before investigating your facts. Kelowna should build a 50 M pool and forget another study or it will take as long as the "NEW" bridge we are still waiting for.

-R. MAC
