Crazy people in Ottawa?

Latest from Ottawa: considering buying 12 submarines, 120 attack helicopters and much more.

Are we in need of more submarines? The four we bought from Britain are laying in dry dock because they do not work. Do we need 12 more submarines? Where will we store them? Do we have enough dry docks for 12 more? Will these 12 subs be misfits as the last 4 were? What will we use these subs for? Are there boogie men in need of terror?

Who makes these decisions?  Are they related to Brian Mulroney and also on the take? Will these subs require missiles so we can hurt some innocent children in some foreign countries? It is one thing to purchase killing machines, but who will be killed? We can’t just buy them and let them rust up in dry dock.  Maybe we should buy some more junk from Britain and have our maintenance crews spend years on repairs and millions of dollars too. We have to have some definite targets so we can actually practise with these weapons. Who do the people in Ottawa have in mind?

Would these dollars not be better spent on coastal defence, rescue boats and helicopters since we seem to be short of these?

Now, Ottawa also needs 120 attack helicopters so we can go off shore and kill some more innocent people. There must be somewhere that we can fly and start killing?  We can’t use them at home so where do we go? Is Ottawa playing in the same sandbox as the USA?  They seem to decide that certain countries need “regime change” so they decide to go in and do just that.  Saddam Husain and Momar Kaddafi are two examples.

Do we, Canadians want to play in that sandbox?

There must be something in the drinking water at the Rideau Club that affects the thinking power of these politicians. The seven countries that Mr. Trump does not like are at this time under attack by USA forces on “police work”.  We should not join him in his folly. No wonder that the USA has fewer friends in this world.
