Letters

The majority of the Okanagan adult population is more than aware of the small problems here in town, not to mention the greater worldly problems. Castanet is a great place to discuss or inform others of events or future planning or decisions that will effect others. However, it's pretty sad that people with wealthy, well-off lives always have something to complain about.

I'm speaking for a bulk of letter readers I'm sure, but enough complaining has been done about neighbourly issues or strictly opinion based negativity with no fact. It mostly seems like a select few sending letters in, and I almost feel embarrassed for those people with too much time on their hands that are too lazy to address the issues they have, or have been spoon-fed their whole life and expect someone else to get their hands dirty.

I'm a 27 year old student, learned the values of hard work, determination and confidence, and hope there are others that are also fed up with the stigma of a community of wealthy, greedy, narcissists.

There is always someone out there a lot worse off than any one of us. The most productive letter would be one with a named attached, has fact to it, and possible positive solutions, not one of an opinionated complaint. Let’s toughen up, and find real solutions to the real current issues that effect the majority of us; otherwise, these letters will eventually stop being read by most.
