Time for a real change

I have never voted for NDP in my life - their history of failures in this country leads me to believe that has been (mostly) a smart idea.

But the BC "Liberal" party (So-Creds by another name) have had 16 years to fix their mistakes and have done nothing short of destroy:

* The Softwood Industry
* Medical (MSP)
* ICBC
* BC Hydro
* Education system (post and secondary)

There have been so many more. Short of the improvements they made early after they took power in the early 2000's to fix the over-taxing of small business, they have done little else. We have watched while they have sold the farm out from under us, let all the good jobs disappear, destroy the employee's rights to a fair wage (some industries get just over $9 an hour when minimum wage is supposedly $11), not to mention employers can now make you come in for a 2 hour shift, send you home and then make you come back again 2 hours later.

Then there is the housing issue. Highest housing costs in the country, yet some of the lowest incomes in respective job markets, some of the highest fuel costs, food costs & health care costs (so many things not covered that are in other provinces).

BC used to have a vibrant and diverse economy with the possibility of building a future and providing for your family and the community.

All we have now is an (artificially) inflated housing market. BC's largest tax revenue generator is from real estate sales… when (not if, but when) the market gets hit by a real value reset, the province will be in a free fall.

While I was never so happy to be rid of the NDP during the decade they ran the province into the ground, I am even more hopeful that this current government gets their asses handed to them on an over-priced MSP card.

From a formerly loyal BC Liberal voter and Christy Clark supporter, good bye and good riddance.

No fudge-it/forget about it budget is going to fool those of us that have been paying attention.
