Sounds like City Council has already made up its mind and the meeting was just a token jester, whether the public opposes the location or not.
It’s the same as buying lake front properties for millions of dollars and not getting public input as to if the tax payer wants it or not.
In my opinion, City Council’s job is to organize day to day services, hire competent workers and balance the budget. It’s easy to spend money and then just raise taxes. Anyone can do that.
Seems to me City Council has its own agenda and are not really concerned what the taxpayers want or don’t want. If that's the case, referendums have to be put in place.
