I am sure we all knew that Kelowna’s new city council was pro business and development but I sure didn’t realize how blatant they would be.
Amazing that when a struggling orchardist want to put in some RV sites to help pay the bills the city brings in the Cavalry. When a big developer decides to put a restaurant/lounge on a rooftop without a permit it’s wink wink nod nod, that’s ok we’re all pals.
That rooftop party place will allow nearly 300 people outside, much to the chagrin of the neighbours in the nearby condo towers. Of course, it’s a good bet none of our councillors live in these towers.
It is a pretty sad statement about how our city is being run, certainly not always in the public interest.
