I am thankful that the City is putting their foot down to Hillcrest Farms. As I have seen far too often, the rules are being broken when it comes to Agricultural Land. How much you wanna bet they break the rules anyway and have their unlimited events with as many people as they can fit in one place?
I am so tired of people building on their property and getting a permit after the fact, when really the city can’t do anything as it is too late.
Example: Café, & Bed and Breakfast… 2 years before anyone noticed. Also, did the buildings on that property have to be so big? Talk about taking away from the beautiful scenery. All you see is buildings. Or get a permit to build a fruit stand and instead two residential houses go up (Corner of Gibson and McKennzie)?
I think I might just apply for a permit to build a garden shed and rip down my house and build a new one. Yup, that’s a garden shed! Maybe two stories higher than the original house, but oh well, now I have a great view!
Can you believe this kinda deliberate ignorance happens and nobody does a darn thing! Well good on the city for finally standing up to the ones who think it’s ok to break the rules!
