Looking for a kidney donor

I am very fortunate to have a wide and deep circle of family, friends and associates in my life and the time has come for me to call upon you for your consideration in assisting me with my health condition. 

I am being treated for kidney failure and am under the care of the renal clinics in Kelowna and Vancouver. So far, I have not had the disturbing pleasure of being put on dialysis, but I am not far from that reality.

My doctors have informed me that I could be a candidate for receiving a kidney from either a living donor or from a recently deceased compatible donor. The latter may take up to 6 years of wait time and not the most reliable route for anyone in my current condition. The former, receiving a kidney from a compatible living donor, is the route the specialist has recommended I follow. 

To put it plainly, I am looking for a kidney donor. Most people have two kidneys and, providing they are in relatively good health, can completely live with only one. I cannot live with two failed ones. That is where your assistance would be of great value to me.

As a start, I have Type O blood and a compatible donor must also have Type O blood. There are many requirements to qualify beyond blood type and all tests are covered financially by our B.C. Government.
