Sindi's Bandwagon

How long does the public have to be shown articles from Sindi Hawkins? Sure, she went through a terrible ordeal. Hundreds of others in Kelowna have gone through terrible ordeals, may it be cancer or otherwise and we hear nothing or little of it. I do not read Sindi's letters as that is my choice but I am tired of seeing her name constantly on your website and in the newspaper.

Sindi Hawkins may be a special person to some but to most people of Kelowna, she is a politician. Did she bring us the Memorial Cup, did she built us a new bridge, did she cure cancer - I do not think so. I am happy that she, like so many others, have overcome her adversity but please - no more "tears of joy". If Kelowna citizens really care about the down and out, get off the "good for you" Sindi bandwagon and volunteer for those who really need your support, like the frail elderly or victims of cancer with no money in their bank account and no support groups.

Sindi's bandwagon has rolled on through this town long enough. I am not sympathetic to her anymore.
