Dear Mayor and Council,
We understand that the “AAP” group has rallied and may have enough names to force a decision on council, to either go ahead or cancel a referendum.
We strongly urge you to proceed with the referendum as planned.
We need a new City Hall and complex which will also house important IHA facilities.
To date, there has been a tremendous effort by Council, and many other consultants, to plan this facility. It would be short sighted to “cave-in” to a minority now, and not proceed with a referendum. You have all been elected to “get a job done”, and to date have made responsible decisions.
We are confident there is a majority of residents willing to go to the polls and support this project.
A strong marketing campaign will ensure success.
