An open letter to Mr. Stephen Fuhr, MP Kelowna - Lake Country:
I just heard that the RCMP are no longer going to fund our school Liaison Officer (a.k.a Constable Rigby) after this school year.
As far as I have researched, all the other schools in SD23 will have access to an RCMP officer who takes the time to meet and connect with our kids of all school ages, and provide proactive counsel, a listening ear and perhaps that life changing moment that so many of our children need.
I hope that you, as our MP for Lake Country and as a father, you see the value to our community in having an RCMP liaison officer and will express your wish to keep this position directly to Sgt. Lucash at 250-766-2288.
