Why the apology?

In reference to the story: '"Suspects" get apology'.  

Why the heck is the Mayor of Vancouver apologizing for our Security Services doing their job?  If, six months or so, down the road a small band of armed fanatics -- who were of middle-eastern descent while having been born in Briton -- went blazing through the mall blowing-up and/or shooting every innocent person within their sights and nothing had been done with surveillance videos well in advance of the incident.  You can bet your boots the every politically correct, bleeding-heart and every news reporter and media outlet would be screaming blood murder about the ineptitude and negligence.

Considering the global insecurity regarding terrorism these days, those idiots should be apologizing for being so stupid and thanking the people in the mall for not kicking the crap out of them right there on the spot.  They may have been born in Briton but for Heavens sake -- take a look in the mirror!! -- you are of obvious Middle-eastern descent and guess who is rampaging around the world these days sowing death, destruction and mayhem?  Could it possibly be a fanatical gang, the vast majority of which are Middle-eastern zealots, many of whom were born and/or were living in a European country -- including Briton?? 

The “political correctness" that is being insisted on these days is not only stifling any and all real and meaningful discussion and debate, it is placing us at risk and punishing those who are trying, in spite of the bleeding-hearts, to do their job.
