Service Canada frustrations

I look after my sister who is 57 and has Downs Syndrome and Dementia.  I can't tell you the frustrating things I run into in trying to help her with with day to day living.

My beef is with Service Canada.

I have been trying to get a Statement of Contributions, which is needed to determine her old age disability pension, since October 2015.

I first took her down to the office on Queensway, we signed a consent form, and was told it would take 10 weeks to go on file.  I then had to get on the phone and request one, which I did, which got me a letter stating she made no contributions. What it should have stated was 0.00 has been contributed. Another phone call back, and today I got the exact same letter and a consent form to talk to a family member?

Ask me if I am frustrated and just plain beside myself about the situation. How incompetent are these people?  What don't they understand?  How many ways on Sunday do I have to explain this and try to get it done.

I have spent the last half hour trying to call their number, but have been informed that the call volume is too big and will have to call back. Ugh!

My first and foremost priority is to look after my sister, not following up to make sure you do your job right. Get on the ball! Until this paperwork is provided, it could affect her monthly income, which as we all know, PWD is not that much. It is the lowest in Canada. Another issue for Christy Clark!

My sister does not speak much, so I am her voice and will fight for what is right for her!
