Infectious diseases

Seriously? It's okay to allow someone with an infectious disease like TB into Canada? Knowingly?

Why?

What other 'infectious diseases' will the immigration screeners overlook? Will we be taking those with leprosy as well?

TB is not something that can be cured or fixed with a couple of pills and a nap; so is Canada planning on isolating everyone who has such diseases? If so, what provisions are being made? What other diseases will they be importing? Where will these people be housed while they undergo treatment?

There seems to be no lack of bleeding heart sentiment being pushed at us through the mainstream media and government parrots, but there is a clear lack of solid information given to the general public with regard to these imported diseases, or what, if any, safeguards the government has in place.

Helping people is a good thing, but not when you have to cut your own throat to do it. Some of us are just a little concerned.
