Proud and happy Canadian

I’ve followed the campaigns of all four of our candidates in their race for Prime Minister. Mulcair’s and Harper’s ads were almost convincing – but then Trudeau  did less ‘criticizing’ than either of them. He talked to us of his plans to  make the needed changes that we shared with him when he campaigned heavily and tirelessly. Justin did his homework and was ready with facts and numbers. His father, Pierre Elliot Trudeau, was a brilliant and energetic politician. Having his bloodline and with a childhood imbedded in political surroundings, Justin, with his modesty and dedication , will, I’m sure, make the right decisions to not only make Canada stronger, but more confident.

I’m glad that President Obama will be around another year because it’s scary to watch the candidates vying for his job. I hope they saw how our Canadian politicians remained respectful  before and after. It baffles me how  Trump is riding high in popularity; he talks and acts like a buffoon, has no experience in politics, and rides heavily on his ‘wealth’!  Well, I guess that the world had a laugh at our expense when Ford, mayor of Toronto stumbled and lied his way into disgrace. Yet, ‘the most powerful country in the world’  still resists ‘universal healthcare’ for it’s citizens, and has no gun regulations. The U.S. gladly sends it’s 19 year olds to war-but forbids them to enter a pub until they’re 21!

I do believe Harper was right in saying that citizenship vows should be honoured without the niqab face covering. In any government transaction where  full-face identification is mandatory, and necessary. To those who argue that it’s a ‘religious requisition’, I suggest they check out the ancient and despicable  demands of the Sharia faith on the web. These present times of sadistic infiltration into countries around the globe by Islam extremists, coaxing our innocent children to join them, and terrorizing masses of people out of their towns and countries must put us more on-guard without being inhospitable, maintaining our principles and standards. With Canada’s majority behind our new and promising Prime Minister we must keep sharing the same pride and vision that Justin Trudeau  holds for this strong and free country, envied around the world.

May God bless our Prime Minister and our Canada.

June Turner
