When I first met Ron Cannan in 1996, I was running for mayor and he was running for councillor.
We worked together for nine years on Kelowna city council. I got to understand that Ron had a higher calling, and indeed, he did.
He ran for and was successful to become a Member of Parliament and he's represented us for three parliaments, a total of nine years.
He's done incredible things for this riding.
He believes that when we pay taxes to Ottawa much of that money should come back to the riding. He worked very hard at making that happen and I know that firsthand from when I was Kelowna Mayor as I was one of the people he worked with to make things happen for Kelowna and this riding.
Three years ago, he was made a member of the Privy Council, and so it's "the Honourable Ron Cannan".
I urge you to vote for Ron in this election. He knows his way around Ottawa, and he knows what we need here in Kelowna-Lake Country.
Ron Cannan is a great asset to the political landscape of our country.
