My letter in reference to the local Legion not helping still stands. How much of a problem would it be for one or two local legion members or the executive of the legion to state they do not have the funds or resources to help however they support the efforts of those who are on this ride. Even our mayor or one or two council members would be appreciated too along with MP Ron Cannan if he was available. He is a member of our local legion. The RCL is losing membership and closing legions across Canada and this is one of the reasons. Bad publicity.
