I had the privilege of attending the Barbershop & Brass "A Time to Remember" concert Saturday evening at the Kelowna Community Theatre.
This was a truly entertaining evening and was exceptionally produced and performed. We have a great talent base here in Kelowna, from the members of the Kelowna City Band, the Chorus of the Okanagan, Kelowna Brass, Late Harvest, the Kelowna Pipe Bank and in particular Sharon Wickstrom portraying the part of Joan Jennens, a longtime Kelowna Resident. The story of was beautiful and the music was wonderful.
It truly was a "time to remember" and we are fortunate to live in a community with such a great talent base. Thanks also to the Royal Canadian Legion Colour Party, The Cadets and the RCMP Veterans members who by their presence reminds us that the freedom we have today was paid for dearly by many of our Kelowna and area military.
Thanks for the memories.
