Firstly J.M., please do not speak for the majority of Canadians, you do not even know them all personally.

I was merely asking a question and encouraging new thought. Shame on you for shutting it down with the old childish reply of "perhaps you would prefer to return to your former homeland". Encouraging new ideas leads to debate which leads to progress. Whether the new ideas come from non-citizens or citizens is not important.

In the UK you do not have to be a citizen to vote for your local council,
just a registered permanent resident paying all your taxes is enough to
qualify you.
