Every now and then we hear about someone in our community who goes up and above the call of duty. We are very fortunate to have met someone who did just that, albeit, in a very unfortunate way.
Two weeks ago our cat, Stevie, was struck by a vehicle in the Glenrosa area. It was 6:00 pm and our usual vet clinic had just closed, so we immediately brought Stevie to Rose Valley Veterinarian Hospital. Even though their clinic closed at 5:30, they still took Stevie. Dr. Oz informed us that the injuries were severe and that he would be facing major surgery and still did not know if he would survive. We made the “call” twice to have Stevie put down, but in the end decided to proceed with the major surgery.
We are forever grateful to Dr. Oz for not only helping our family through this ordeal, but of course for saving Stevie. Dr. Oz walked our family through this ordeal step-by-step, stayed the night with Stevie in the clinic (not one night; but two!), stayed in direct contact with us, gave us his cell phone number and continuously gave us hope.
His continuous encouragement, professionalism, and his obvious love and compassion for animals will never be forgotten. The same rings true for his staff, simply amazing at every level. We are forever grateful, just can’t say it enough. I am shocked at how many people have come forward since Stevie’s accident to share their stories of Dr. Oz and staff.
We are also thankful to the two witnesses who came forward, we appreciate your help and support so very much!
Sincerely,
Ziebart family
