I read your article on the "freak" tobogganing accident in Edmonton earlier this week. Please do a story on the true dangers of this fun winter sport. People do not realize how dangerous it can be. Always wear a helmet! Always have a first aide kit! I am almost 60 years old, and have seen my share of tragedies on family hills, let alone the hills of today. A young boy bleed to death when his femoral artery was severed by a piece of shattered sled. People on the hill that day remain horribly traumatized. I personally know two. Quadriplegic from broken necks after hitting trees, and many friends who have suffered concussions. This list doesn't even include the minor injuries of broken bones. This is one woman's memories.
