Ordered to stop assisting veterans

Mr. Neville from eastern Canada, who has helped other veterans with their disability appeal claims with Veterans Affairs has been told by government he cannot continue to help disabled veterans with their appeals. To date, Mr. Neville has helped 47 veterans with their appeals and has had one hundred percent success rate.

Government makes it clear of the many programs available to disabled veterans but they never tell you how hard it is to qualify for the benefits and when veterans finally do have success, government tries to shut them down. Our MP, the Honorable Ron Cannon, is part of this government who now wants to censure other veterans in helping out the disabled, those who served Canada for democracy. Does this mean that I no longer can have someone else help me fill out the obligatory census forms or my income tax returns?  What is this country coming too? This action by government is disgraceful.

By the way when our VAC office closed, one of the official releases by government to ease the pain was there is a service agent in our legion who can help out. What makes these service officers more or less competent than Mr. Neville, who to date has had 100 percent success rate. Canada is at a crisis with its veterans and seems to be getting worse with the new minister of Veterans Affairs.

Dale Dirks, MMM CD
