The teachers on strike is an important issue, and is affecting many students and parents and I think everyone has given their point of view. I read Castanet letters daily, but have stopped reading them now as I am exhausted of this issue.
Our 2 cents worth is exactly that. What we say does not matter, it's an issue between gov't and teachers union, or so it seems.
I have another frustrating issue. A while back some one mentioned the rude people that go to movie theatres. We attended the Jan Arden concert last night. She put on a fabulous show as did her opening artist.
We were fortunate enough to have box seats. The box beside was filled with women who were laughing and talking loudly. They (some of them) were so loud we couldn't hear Jan over them. This behaviour is rude and disrespectful. If you don't want to listen to the music, DON'T COME TO THE CONCERT!! If you want to chat, go for coffee.
I.K.
