If you don’t vote, don’t complain

Remember if you don’t vote….then don’t complain.

I have my suspicions about politicians at the best of times, but elections are their worst hour.

There are now groups of these candidates that want you to vote for them as a club or group or whatever a gaggle of vote hawkers are called. They have similar signs, similar messages and a common font on their pleas for electoral approval.

Obviously too weak to stand alone they have banded together in a bloc to secure a council position. Once elected, I assume they will forgo the democratic principles of caring for their individual voters and care for each other.

They wish to be elected on the force of at least one of them having something useful to give in public service. They will then form a majority or at least a bloc minority in the decisions put to council and mayor.

Am I the only one who sees a problem with this?
