I was shocked to hear that the city of Kelowna is just now coming up with the idea that there should be a better traffic light system on Harvey Avenue.
Am I missing something here?? Why wasn't this done 10 or 15 years ago?
The politicians in this town need to get off their butts and take a look at the traffic situation anywhere from Reid's Corner to Westbank at 4 to 5 pm every day. There needs to be a lot more done than the improvement of the light system on Harvey.
I am surprised we have let these guys off the hook on this for these past years. We have had too many people die, and more will. Our city is growing and these guys need to recognize that.
I am not in any way defending the bad drivers, but our traffic situation is bringing out the worst in some people. We pay the politicians to look after these things and they are really dropping the ball. Whether it is the city or the province, or both, we need to start holding them accountable for this mess.
