Where Are My Rights!

I have read many letters to the editor about smokers rights. I have some questions about this. Is it fair that my father just passed away from lung cancer caused by smoking even though he quit over 30 years ago.

Is it the smokers right to throw their butts out their car windows and cause fires that just about caused me to lose my home? Is it fair to see employees standing out side of buildings having a smoke on company time while the non smokers cover for them? I am so tired of the minority of smokers who complain.

They have no idea what they are doing to themselves or friends and family. Try being at a love ones bedside and watch them die, I just did!!!!!! Fight a fire as it closes in on your home because some idiot threw their butt out the window of their car so they would not get their ashtray dirty. I did!!!!!!

This letter may sound angry but it is not intended that way, think about your kids or grandchildren at your bedside watching you take your last breath because your lungs have failed years earlier. Having to fight a fire with a shovel and a garden hose to save your home because of a careless act. Standing in line because somebody stepped out for a smoke. Think about just a second, smoking is deadly in more ways than one. This may not be nice to say but, lower the taxes on gas and raise them on smokes because in my mind there is nothing worse than seeing a patient in the smoking tent at KGH having a smoke with a oxygen tube attached to their nose.
