Roof-top restaurant open

I’m sure by now you have driven past the Okanagan Centre for Innovation attached to the downtown library.  What most people haven’t seen is the new Perch Cafe on the roof top.

Perch Operator Luigi Coccaro has set up 30 seats inside, 60 alfresco seats at a table with a view; the 6,000 square foot of special event space can accommodate 150 people.

They are serving lunch, dinner and cocktails. I don’t know if you're allowed, but since SYNLawn Okanagan put their artificial grass pretty much every where up top, I took my shoes off and really kicked back.

Reservations are recommended but walk ins as also welcome.

Do you have a passion and a need for a clean and organized space either at home or at work?

Maybe you just need some help organizing your family because you can’t find the time to do the simplest of tasks.

Well don’t worry, you’re not alone and now you have someone that can help you do it and give you some tips to keep it that way.

When you were a kid and playing Nintendo games, you probably dreamed of working for them in the future.  How much fun would that be, right?

Chris Priebe of Community Sift has done it.  As of this past week, they have been approved as a vendor of Nintendo Switch dev portal.

I’ve written about his successes before so you should know who they are.  If you have kids under 13 years of age and you don’t know much about them, you must visit their website and see how they are making the internet safer for you and your kids.

SellZilla is now on the app store.

Creator Alex Griggs has worked long and hard to create a buy and sell market place that can be customized to the user experience.

He has made it easy for everyone to buy and sell items securely with a mobile phone.

If you’re looking for a local tech job, he needs to hire because he just can’t do it all himself any more.

Congratulations, Alex!

Wanna sip some suds in the sunshine?

Well, Kettle River Brewing is now fully licensed and they want to party. They have squirrelled away some of their favourite beers knowing this day was coming.

Be prepared to try something new and if you're hungry, the Crasian Food Truck will be out front.

Russ, Chris Brandon and Brad all thank you for your support throughout this process and they really appreciate your patience and understanding.

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, then make your way to Tug Boat Bay for Kelowna’s Dragon Boat Festival

There are all kinds of races: 200-metre sprints, 500m races, 800m guts and glory, blindfold race, breast cancer race and ceremony. Plus, there are Taiko drummers, vendors, beer garden and a very nautical paddler party.

Make it a great week!
