For love and football

Sarah Bryne of SIMs Jewellery has started off February with a few suggestions to get your heart on.

She volunteered her time helping inspire a community group and then she spent the rest of her day with her mom to create some new heart design jewelry for the month.

If you’ve been to any local market or fair you have probably seen Sarah and experienced her great energy. All of her jewelry is meant to be worn in more than one way so guys this gets us extra brownie points (I hope).

Check out her website for some great gift ideas.

“Are ready for some football?”

The Kelowna Jaycees are known for having the biggest and best prizes at their best Super Bowl Party.

The party is always held at Dakoda’s Pub and again this year $20 gets you in the door, a pint of beer, an epic taco and nacho bar and entry to win some prizes.

The grand prize is the big screen TV, but the year's worth of bacon is normally the crowd favourite.

Ryan Lancaster is another castanet columnist that I follow. His drive and passion to make positive change in his life is inspiring.

He might be 10 years younger then me, but I learn a lot through his process and mistakes. That generation just does it differently and are creating purposeful businesses.

I strongly recommend you start following Ryan’s Scale My Life blog because his goal for 2017 is similar to Kyle MacDonald’s One Red Paperclip except Ryan is starting with a button and ending with a bus to travel across Canada to help others succeed.

Contact Ryan if you got something to trade for his button or have a bus that you're trying to get rid of.

Oranj turned nine this week. I’m sorry I didn’t know this last week because you could have taken part in their Tina’s free classes and Keith’s famous smoothies.

They are smart business owners because instead of praising themselves for their success, they are giving all the credit to their guests.

As you can tell Oranj just does it differently, so make sure to give them a chance when looking for a yoga studio to call home. They give all humans of all different abilities, walks of life, and personalities a safe space to show up and boogie.

When speaking of different companies, we can’t leave out Hotel ZED. Their bright, beautiful colours stand out and just make you smile every time you drive by.

You’ll be excited to know they have brought back by popular demand and without any judgment their sexy  Valentine's Day nooner deal. $50 room rentals for loving couples between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Congratulations to Nathan Rosin as Detonate Brewing is opening to the public this Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Over the past couple years, Nathan has been working toward opening up a small brewery in the Okanagan to make some great tasting beers for people who enjoy good, quality beer.

If you're that person make sure you go and check him out in Summerland this Saturday

This is the last of my posted summer video shows where I tell my funniest client story and it’s turned out be the crowds favourite. It’s Golf TIME!

Make it a great week.
