10 a.m. update: COSAR Vice President Duane Tresnich says it was another successful search. The dirt bike rider was located at 8:10 this morning. He does not have any injuries.
"He was in good shape, just a little cold and tired. He was smart and he did the right thing, he went to where he had cell service, and he had a GPS, and then he stayed put," says Tresnich.
The man, who is in his 50, got disorientated last night and he was low on fuel. He did not require medical attention.
COSAR says he had a blanket and food and water with him.
9 a.m. original story: Members of the Central Okanagan Search and Rescue team are out again, responding to their third call in the past 12 hours.
A stranded motorcyclist is missing in the Goudie Road area of Joe Rich.
The call originally came in last night, but the team was called off by RCMP after friends and family were believed to be out looking for the individual. They were unable to locate the man and SAR was called back out at 7 a.m.
As of 9 a.m., COSAR Vice President Duane Tresnich has not heard anything more from his team in the field, consisting of one truck, two ATV’s and four members.
The team spent the majority of last night rescuing another motor biker who was trapped above Trepanier Park.
