Golf classic raises $50k for Boys & Girls
Aug 16, 2013 / 6:00 am
The 23rd Annual Capri Charity Golf Classic was held at The Harvest Golf Club in support of the programs and services provided by the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs.
The tournament featured 18 holes of golf, lunch, dinner, prizes, and a great time in support of the kids.
This year’s tournament raised over $50,000 for the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs. The amazing day culminated with several companies including Chutter Underwriting Services, RWAM and Telus contributing additional sponsorship towards the event.
Over 50% of kids attending the Boys and Girls Clubs come from low income families and attend programs thanks to sponsorships and reduced registration fees. Fundraising events like this tournament are essential to help support these children and youth in our community.
The Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs is a leading provider of programs to children and youth that support the healthy physical, educational and social development of over 6,000 young people and their families each year.
The Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs issues a special thanks to Capri Insurance for their commitment to the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs as well as to all the sponsors and participants who made a contribution of money or in-kind items and services.
