Get inked at the Okanagan Tattoo Show

The first ever Okanagan Tattoo Show is taking place this weekend at the Parkinson Rec Centre in Kelowna.

The tattoo, art, and culture show is the first of its kind in the BC Interior and it gives guests the chance to watch some of the best tattoo artists in Western Canada work and immerse themselves in local tattoo culture and alternative entertainment.

And if you want, you can pick up some ink of your own.

“We’re incredibly lucky to have this range of talent,” said artist Rob Jobe of Pinz Tattoo in Salmon Arm.

“It’s a loaded show.”

Featured will be a pin-up contest, a bikini contest, circus acts, belly dancing, burlesque performances and break dancing as well as awards for best tattoo given that day.

Throughout the weekend there will be silent auctions with proceeds going to KidSport, a charity devoted to helping children participate in organized athletics.

The Okanagan Tattoo Show runs from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28.  For more information, visit this website.
