Cheerleading wedding proposal

Here's a story about two coaches from the Okanagan Firestorm Cheerleading Team - they met, they trained the team, they won awards and they fell in love.

One of the coaches, Pete Parrotta, decided to put the other coach, Nikki Kouwenhoven on the spot with a flash mob marriage proposal.

How did it go? Watch and find out . .  .

Audrey Dudka was there for the proposal, this is what she had to say:

The first season of Okanagan Firestorm Cheerleading can only be described as outstanding. Athletes were awarded  many firsts, seconds and an 8th from three lower mainland competitions.  On May 4 OKF co-hosting with Rutland Sr., the first annual Okanagan Cheer Championship at KSS. It too was a huge success.

On May 30 it was the year end wrap-up and awards evening for some athletes, their last chance to wear their uniform; some will be going on to University next year.

The athletes performed one more time for family, friends and people in our community. At the end of the evening all of the Firestorm athletes ranging in age from 5-18 performed a flash mob for head coach and co-owner Nikki Kouwenhoven, finishing off with the other head coach and co-owner Pete Parrotta dancing his way down to Nikki and asking her to marry him.

What better way to end a season than to share with your cheer-family such an amazing, life changing and emotional moment.

I know I will never forget it :)
