A Kelowna restaurant situated on the shores of Okanagan Lake has been named one of the Top 50 restaurants in Canada by Vacay.ca, and received Gold for Best Okanagan Restaurant at the Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards for the fifth year in a row.
Waterfront Wines ranked 37th overall in Canada and was one of only seven BC restaurants to make the list and the only one in the Okanagan.
The annual competition takes into account both consumer votes and judges results to accurately reflect the best restaurants Canada has to offer.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be included with such high-caliber restaurants from across the province. It is great to see that the Okanagan is now being recognized at the same level as these other world-class culinary destinations,” explains Waterfront’s Chef/Sommelier Mark Filatow.
“We are fortunate to work with some of the top producers in British Columbia, namely the Okanagan, to source fresh, seasonal Okanagan ingredients that reflect all that our region has to offer.”
The restaurant acknowledges having received both of the awards in the span of a week as an “exceptional honour”.
