Bryanna's dolphin dream
Feb 10, 2013 / 9:09 am

“I’ve always wanted to swim with dolphins,” said Bryanna Johnston of Summerland.
“They are awesome.”
Bryanna, who has had a hearing disability since birth, was chosen by the Sunshine Foundation to travel with her family to Hawaii at the end of the month to make her dream to swim with dolphins a reality.
“I’m very thankful to have this,” said Bryanna, who was given a ceremony at Winners in Capri Mall on Saturday.
Anne Miller, President of Sunshine Foundation for the BC Interior presented Bryanna with a cake and held a press conference.
“If it wasn’t for sponsors like Winners,” she said, “we would not be able to help as many people as we do.”
Bryanna also took part in DreamLift in 2011, which took approximately 80 children on a one-day, whirlwind vacation to Disneyland in California.
Dave Johnson, Bryanna’s father, is proud of his daughter and grateful to the organization.
“As a parent, it means a lot,” he said.
“It’s very well organized and we are fortunate she has this opportunity.”
Since 1987, Sunshine has been trusted by families and healthcare providers to make dreams come true for 7,000 kids across Canada.
