Injuries due to slips, trips and falls are always common in the winter, but they have been on the rise recently in the Interior BC because of the snow and uncharacteristic January thaw (and freeze).

As such, Canada Post would like to ask home- and business-owners to give us a hand in ensuring a safe workplace for their employees. Here’s how you can help:
- Shovel regularly to remove snow, ice, and other debris from stairs, walkways, driveways, and the area where their mailbox is located
- Put salt down to melt existing ice on stairs, walkways, and driveways
- Put sand down as an extra precaution to ensure a safe walking surface
