A woman in tears is led from the scene of an assault with a deadly weapon in Rutland Thursday afternoon.
Kelowna RCMP were called to an assault with a deadly weapon in the 1500 block of Walburn Rd. in Rutland Thursday afternoon.
At least five RCMP cruisers were on scene at the standoff, which lasted over an hour.
According to Cst. Kris Clark, the type of weapon used has not yet been released, but an adult male is in custody.
Minor injuries have been reported but specific details are yet to be released.
