Wayne Cobb was a man who loved to pay good things forward and it is in his honor that a few of his friends went out for the 3rd year in a row and gave away free hugs.
Only a handful of the huggers actually knew Wayne and many came out just to give some hugs away.
A woman who read the original story on Castanet showed up in tears today and was looking forward to the hugs for the past week. Another showed up for the 2nd year and wanted to know how he could get involved.
Some parked their car in the middle of the road to run out and get a hug - while those who are a bit more conservative crossed the street to avoid the personal contact.
Children with their parents are the most exciting to watch after their parents give the green light for the hug, the children run into a strangers arms.
The group wish to thank Starbucks for donating coffee for the event.
