A throng sings songs

Shoppers at Urban Fare in Kelowna were treated to an extra holiday gift this past Friday.  The OKM FAME (Fine Arts Music Education) Academy was on site performing Christmas carols for the staff and customers.

"It's a great opportunity to reach out to the community, perform for a new audience and spread a little holiday cheer", said Ryan Grenier, who along with Megan Dobbs and Ed Schnellert serves as teacher/directors for the program.

The FAME Academy, along with it's 65 cast members and the OKM Jazz Band are preparing to bring the iconic Broadway Musical 42nd Street to the stage May 7-11 at the Mary Irwin theatre.
