Chiefs pass puck to Rutland biz
Oct 26, 2012 / 8:48 am
The Kelowna Chiefs hockey club and the Uptown Rutland Business Association are collaborating to promote businesses with a T-shirt campaign.
The “Rockin’ in Rutland” T-shirt campaign will deliver complimentary shirts to Rutland businesses over the next three weeks.
The catch?
Business staff members are asked to wear the shirts on Kelowna Chiefs game days.
The T-shirts are red with “Rockin’ in Rutland” and “Kelowna Chiefs Game Day” on the front and back.
Businesses will have three options: their business name printed on the back of the T-shirt ($125), their name and logo on the back ($250), or a large sponsor title on the front and back ($500).
Chiefs general manager Grant Sheridan says the idea came from Chuck Gallagher of Missions sports who did a similar campaign with the North Okanagan Knights, another Junior B team in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.
Sheridan and the Chiefs have teamed up with URBA executive director Deb Guthrie.
“We’re ready to roll, and we’re going to collect the businesses that want to run,” says Sheridan.
Interested businesses can contact URBA at 250-451-9861. Additionally, businesses can email the Kelowna Chiefs, with the subject of 'Rockin in Rutland' and include contact information, choice of investment option, and size and quantity of T-shirts.
