Adam Scorgie, the Kelowna-based, independent film Producer behind “The Union – The Business Behind Getting High”, is about to embark on his next venture “The Culture High”, the highly-anticipated sequel to the original cult classic film.

Over the last 18 months, Adam and the BKS-Crew have been working tirelessly on this very ambitious project and believe this film will be even better than the original.

Adam was just featured on Shaw TV's Urban Rush where he was interviewed about his newest project and its critical funding initiative through Kickstarter (www.kickstarter.com), the largest funding platform for creative projects in the world.

Every month tens of thousands of amazing people pledge millions of dollars to projects from the worlds of music, art, film, technology, design, food, and other creative fields.

Every project must be fully funded before its time expires.

“We have seen an overwhelming, positive response since we launched this project,” said Adam. “Along with Urban Rush, I was invited by Joe Rogan as a special guest on Friday’s episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. The support we continue to receive for this project pushes us even farther to reach our funding goal. To date, the film’s Kickstarter campaign has already raised over $145,000 of the $190,000 goal we must reach by August 1, 2012, which should we achieve will set a Canadian record on Kickstarter and that in itself is no easy task.”

This film is only possible with the help of The Union fans, independent film fans, and anyone who loves a positive, thought provoking film. We want this to be their film just as much as it is ours. The more people who participate, the wider the release of the film will be.

On Monday July 30th, Cabana Grille, Molson Canadian & Grey Monk are hosting a closing party for the Kickstarter campaign “KICK-STARTING THE CULTURE HIGH”. The event is looking to raise $10,000 on that night and setting a new Canadian Kickstarter record.
