Government leaders and senior engineers and planners from around the Okanagan are gathering in Kelowna today for a workshop on climate change.

"Adapting to Climate Change in the Okanagan -- Reducing Water Risks" is sponsored by the Okanagan Basin Water Board at the Best Western Hotel.

Mayors and First Nation leaders from around the Okanagan will take part in the 'peer-to-peer' workshop on what the region can expect from climate change, hear practical solutions to prepare communities today and make connections to develop a regional response.

OBWB Executive Director, Anna Warwick Sears, will present the latest findings from the water board's Okanagan Supply and Demand research.
