Shot and bear sprayed during robbery
Jun 19, 2012 / 1:49 pm
A week after a violent home invasion, police are releasing information regarding a man who was shot during the incident.
A fourth occupant of the residence showed up at the hospital, on the same day as the robbery, with a gunshot wound to his torso.
An investigation by police revealed that a firearm had been discharged inside the home during the break and enter back on June 12.
Three other occupants of the home suffered a variety of injuries including the affects of having been bear sprayed.
Police seized 25 kg of marihuana inside the home and believe the drug was the intended target of the robbery attempt.
Police continue to investigate this crime and are asking anyone who may have observed anything suspicious, or have further information, to contact Cpl. Haftner at the Kelowna RCMP Detachment at (250)762-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by email at www.crimestoppers.net
