NEAT tag costly for business

Kelowna RCMP don't think the latest graffiti tag on a local business is too neat.

Police came across a giant tag spelling the word "NEAT" in orange paint on the side of a building on the 1900 block of Springfield Road just before 8 a.m. Monday morning.

Cst. Kris Clark says the tag was estimated to be almost 30 feet in height and could cost the business several hundred dollars to clean up.

"Vandalism such as graffiti causes thousands of dollars of damage per year."

Police are looking for the public's assistance in identifying the tagger responsible.

Anyone convicted of Mischief Under $5000 is liable to a fine not more than $5000 or to a term of imprisonment not exceeding 6 months or both.
