The Kelowna RCMP is expressing some concern over what they describe as a suspicious incident early Sunday morning.

On February 12 around 07:20 a.m., police received a report of a female standing in the middle of Highway 97 N just south of Airport Way trying to flag down motorists.

Between the time the call was made to the RCMP Call Centre, and the police officer attending, another driver had picked up the woman and drove her to a residence.

She is described as 22 years of age, bleached blonde hair, wearing jeans with her shirt undone and she was covered in mud.

The RCMP believe the woman and the driver who picked her up are not connected but they would like this Good Samaritan to call the Kelowna RCMP Detachment at 250-762-3300.

They also ask anyone with information on this incident to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
