The family of Christopher Stone issued a brief statement regarding their lost loved one Thursday.
Stone, 46, died Wednesday after he fell through the ice in Wood Lake shortly after 10 a.m.
His body was recovered by RCMP divers about 4:30 p.m.
The brief statement follows:
We are deeply saddened with the loss of our son, brother, uncle and friend.
Chris was creative, artistic and adventurous.
As an avid outdoors man, Chris was quite often found enjoying the great outdoors.
Chris was a free spirit, that followed the beat of his own drum and carved the path that only he could have laid.
He will be deeply missed.
