Two men and two teens remain behind bars after breaking into a Kelowna residence on Sunday.

Cst. Kris Clark says police were called to the 1300 block of Highland Drive South after four individuals are alleged to have kicked in the front door of a home, assaulted one of the residents and stolen several items from the house.

"The four suspects were located fleeing the area still in possession of the stolen goods."

Charles Hayworth and Christopher Whitmore of Kelowna along with a 16-year-old boy and girl from West Kelowna were all remanded into custody.

Hayworth, Whitmore and the teenage girl are scheduled to attend court Thursday. The teenage boy is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

Clark says all four have been charged with multiple offences stemming from the incident.

Some of the charges include Break and Enter, Assault, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Mischief and Uttering Threats.
