While executing a search warrant for a marijuana grow operation, police also seized marijuana oil valued at $50,000.
According to Cst. Kris Clark, Kelowna RCMP located a marijuana grow operation in the basement of a resident on Spencer Road in the Ellison area.
"The grow operation consisted of two rooms growing 163 marijuana plants. In addition to the grow operation was a sophisticated set up for producing marijuana oil in the garage, " Clark said.
Police seized a five gallon pail of marijuana oil that was in the middle of being processed, as well as three litters of marijuana oil that was ready for sale.
Clark says 3.6 kg of marijuana bud, $2000 in cash, five long rifles, paraphernalia used to traffic marijuana oil and a hydro bypass were also seized.
"A 51-year-old Kelowna man and a 39-year-old Kelowna woman were both arrested at the residence and have been released on a Promise to Appear for Court in May."
Both of the accused face multiple potential charges of Production of a Controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Theft of Hydro.
